 Here is the first installment for our newest article, FAN-TASTIC Adventures, These are adventures sent to us by our Hacktastic Fans. This one comes to us from Jim Eilers (if Peggy gave me the spelling right), you might know him as Water The Wigget from T.P.K. 2. He did a great job on this one. question peggy mentioned that the price of the magic Item in the adventure was too cheap. What is the proper formula to figure out the value cause I either screwed up when I calcuated it which is quite possible or I miss read the book another thing that is possible.

You're only off by 60 EP, (not that big of deal), That is if you made it the way I did when I checked it. Here is how I built it. ( I do have a question though, is there a duration on the secondary power Such as lasting the entire encounter or the minimum rounds for the spell or is it for a single roll?)
I used the 1st Circle Arcane spell: Arcane Protective Aura for the primary +5 defense power (1st Circle x Ring base Price 100 X 2 for General Clas and X2 for Permanent Effect Duration) = 400 Ep
I used the 1st Circle Arcane spell: Arcane weapon Enchantment for the secondary +5 to any non magic weapon once per encounter (1st Circle X Ring base Price 100 X2 for General -10% for Me activation -10% for once per encounter use limit) = 160EP
Total Purchase price 560EP

I was under the impression that since it was once per encounter that it lasted the round it activated

If that is how you want it, then it works for me (also does not mess with the price either), You could make it for the minimum duration of the spell effect if you like, making it a bit more powerful. Either way is good.
