Well We have finally returned from Anime STL 2008! We met a pile of cool people, learned more about anime than I thought there was to know, Helped some new gamers take thier first HACKTASTIC adventure as well as wtached some old vets show us how it was done. All in all after much wild and crazy (I Really DO mean CRAZY) fun. We are really glad we got to come and experiance it all first hand! I can't thank the great Anime STL Staff as well as all the con goers for making us feel welcome. I have been to many a game con in my 26 years of gaming, I thought I had seen it all, well how wrong I was. I've seen cosplay in action. Played in LARP sessions, but never before have I watched a man in a pink dress, manhandle an elf, while dodging a mock combat between a dozen tiny sword-wielding  women samurai and two gun slinging school-girls, Talked to no less than six ninjas, Been hit in the back with a cardboard buster sword (on accident, I think), Bump headlong into a Power Ranger, Gotten hugged by a large man wearing a pair of what I think wear rabbit ears. All to travel less than sixty feet to smoke a cigarette with three vampires and a man in a fishnet cat-suit! I have never felt so out of place and embraced at one moment, though I will admit, it was a hell of a lot of fun! If you have never been to Anime STL before, do yourself a favor and go next year. You have to truly be there to know what I'm talking about. If you do go look me up, because I plan to make it a regular event.

As some of you know, im a cop on my "day" job. I sometimes think that ive seen it all… but heres a list of some new ones on me.

1. watching brooksie get the inside scoop on the different levels of Anime involment by a vixen who seemed to have traversed the darker paths and wanted to teach him the meaning of "Viffing" and stuffed animal bondage.

2. Being in a crowd of people and feeling uncomfortably normal

3. Knowing absolutely nothing on a subject and being schooled by my kids….. Dad thats Nurumo stupid.

( ok thats not new)

4. Gun slingin Schoolgirls, Preachers, Ninjas, Clone troopers, Small electrically charged pets, scantily dressed huge eyed , pink haired, cross dressed gueshia girls and sword swinging samurais all hanging out with not one drop of blood spilled or one crime committed.

I could go on.. Thank you St. Louis Anime for the great fun and expanding of my little horizon.
