Ok, after reading some of the descriptions by the R&D team about how some of things are being revamped here's what I have so far…
CLASSES
Barbarian: More options/uses with rage, less fighter.
Bard: ??? Maybe improved charm/inspire abilites? Taking over for the rogue as the silver tongue?
Druid: More wildshaping, less spells. Cool example "druid turns into hawk to fly over orc camp, then turns into a mouse to sneak in orc king's tent, then shifts into bear…" You know the rest.
Monk: High moblity and high damage was mentioned.
Paladins: Sounds like they are becoming more like the Knight Protector prestige class. More smites than just evil. And speaking of evil, it seems as though evil paladins are on the menu now…
Rangers: Mobility and talks about "your talents are wasted on rabble".
Sorcerers: More tapping into raw magical energy than actually controling it. Think Jean Grey…
Swordmages: Instead of real armor, gets wards.
Sounds like most spells will be for melee.
Warlord: "descendant of the marshal" "skilled battle leader" Seems to me like an offensive bard w/o the singing.
OTHER TIDBITS:
Prestige classes are gone. Instead are Paragon Pathways. Pick one at 11th level and you continue to advance, but get extra abilities/options thanks to your chosen pathway.
Schools of magic: Seems as though the Schools of Magic are now more for flavor/fluff. Spells are grouped by how they fuction ie "rays that damage" etc.
"The Book of Nine Swords" and "Complete Mage" were mentioned often as "test books" for 4e.
DISCLAIMER: Remember, children, that these are the yammerings of a man who has been exposed to excessive x-rays, paint fumes, and super glue. Take all info under advisement.
