Hey Everyone who is attending TPK4 and is interested in being in the HardCore Hacktastic Group and does not have a group I am creating a group and currently we have 4 open spots. There are four members currently my Dad,Phil, Adrian, and myself. If you would like to join our group just let me know.

At TPK 4 Black Pigeon Press is starting Hard Core Haktastic. now i don't know much myself and they will explain it at TPK 4 but from what i understand it is Hactastic by the same rules just that they give out very very few magic items during the games and it is not allowed to go and buy any with money from Vandar. From what i understand there will be a test on rules and then a level and this wuill all be performed in groups of up to 8 a "party" you get points on how well you do on the test and how well your team works together. The level, i think, will be an intro with pregenerated characters. The team with the most points is the Hard Core Hacktastic party. There will be about 1 HC game every convention. This group of 8 will be the only people allowed to do HC adventures all year. Next year at TPK another team will join and the same next year. Is there any thing i got wrong Big E?

You summed it up pretty well my lad (I always wanted to say that), The games will be run campaign style, no buying magic unless it is allowed during the role-playing session. No soul stones (unless someone acquires the spells to make them and has the material). Those that sign up for the Hard Core Tournament at TPK4 will either complete as a group if they come with a group ready to go or will be grouped up as I see fit. When you sit down at the table you will each be given a short test of Hack Lore Type questions, you may help each other and use the book, but the longer it takes for the test the less time you have to try and complete the adventure. You will earn points for the following: how well you do on the test, how far the group gets in the adventure, Teamwork, Role-playing and Heroism. The team that has the highest total at the end of the con will be the First HARDCORE Players. That's all for now.

That is a good question indeed. I would guess they would let us make our own considering we will be playing a game without the same easy source of magic as we have now. Thusly we would get the advantage of making our own characters.

BigE has told me that each person will get a pre-made Character to play in the Hardcore Hacktastic game. You will get points (from the GM) on how well you play the Character. Points for completing the Adventure and so on. Only 1 team will be allowed to play at the Hardcore Adventures for the coming year. A certificate stating this will be handed out. If your Character dies, you will be given another pre-made Character to continue playing in the Campanign stye Adventures that will be run. Hope that explains a little more about it.
