Given that Tolkien was a noted philologist who did ground-breaking work with Beowulf, I have to admit I'm somewhat interested in his Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun.  But then, I've been on a Viking kick the last couple of months.  Currently reading the Poetic Edda (and my girlfriend is reading the Volsung Saga!).  :P
