Clarification on Charms

Hey BigE,

Some questions in regards to Charms.

First, all of the Charms listed in Fantastic Treasures 1, 2, and 3 say basically the

same thing under Game Effects (Grants a +10 to next (charm) test.)

Does "next" mean your next "turn" or whenever the "next" opportunity comes

to use the Charm, say, 3 turns away.

Second, none of the Charms state if they are stackable or not.  From my

understanding you can't have, say, 2 Warrior's Charms active at one time, but

you can have 1 each of a different Charm active at one time.

Lastly, the Luck Stone Charm.  Can you activate it at the time you do Luck of

Heroes or any other Luck Test or do you have to activate it ahead of time.  And

are they stackable?

Thanks

You Activate the Charm as a (f) action and then make your D20 roll adding the modifier granted by the charm. They will stack with any other stackable effect up to the max Magic stack of +50, though, unless you are allowed more than one (f) action a turn you won't have more than one charm modifying a single roll. All Charms thus far have an instantaneous duration, so you activate, make roll and the charm is done. The bonus does not stay around, if you don't make the roll that the charm modifies when it is activated, then the charm is wasted. That is why there is no max number of charms a PC can have and why they are fairly cheap for the modifier they provide.

FREE ACTION: You can use a (f) action ANYTIME during a round, even if it is not your Initiative, but you only get 1 (f) Action per round, so if you talked, used another (f) action ability or item, then you must wait till the following turn.

I hope that clears it up for you bud.
