After hearing of the Legendary game that went a tad bit poorly.  I was curious as to the effectiveness of having Steve use a jaunt ring to pop above an enemy for the full distance, and then come crashing down upon him with the full force of gravity and righteousness backing him up.  Naturally this would occur while holding something aking to a Thrice-Riven Shield to prevent untimely splatter related death on the part of the friendly trulk.  Could this work?

Oh, and I heard tell of some sort of gaming event on the weekend following the Game Day 17th weekend.  Or did I miss hear and it was actually the following month?

/edit  Funny that I posted that all of thirty seconds before the news update with Anime. St. Louis…  Ah well, damnedable impatience.

Being IMMUNE from Crushing Damage would not save you. It would only prevent the added +5 to any OCC you would suffer from the fall. You will still take damage from the fall.  So yes it would work and kill something , but most likely yourself as well.

Though on a similar tangent, were one to be punted by something akin to a crag giant into a wall, would it be possible to use a ring of jaunt at the last moment before the impact, and jaunt foreward to a point where the continuing distance of said punt would not place ones body firmly against a stone wall?   Unsure totall as to how free a (f) action is to do.

Yes that would work as long as you had not used your (f) action that round.
