Ok I cannot find the specific place where it tells you what the penalties are for having spells active that count towards drain.  The implication is that beyond 1 spell it is an additional +5 to the drain modifier but again I cannot find anywhere in the in the basic book that states this explicitly.

I don't have my rulebook handy, but I believe it is a simple +1 drain per active spell being sustained by the caster.
