Isn't a Swarm Attack the same as a Gang Up Attack?

The only difference I can find in the Creature Packs is of course the size, type, and quantity of the attackers.  Some creatures also have (SP) Talents relating to Gang Up Attacks.

That being said wouldn't "The Pit Fighter" with (SP) Cagey Combatant Talent be immune to even Swarm Attacks?

No and NO

The Pit Fighter Advanced Template (Sp) Cagy Combatant clearly states that 

(The Pit Fighter is NOT subject to the Gang Up combat Maneuver)

Swarm Attacks are Automatic Attacks (Page182 H/20 Fantasy) the require no to hit roll ( Attack Roll), if it touches you, you test for injury. A Gang-Up Attack is a combat maneuver used to aid an ally granting your ally the bonus. The Swarm has the (Sp) Self Gang-Up Talent which happens by using a Stand & Deliver Combat Maneuver and They Double Their Swarm Rating For Attack and Injury Rolls (See Creature Pack 2). 

Simplified: a Gang-Up Combat Maneuver and the (Sp) Self Gang-Up Talent are not the same thing.
